About me

I am an astrophysicist and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Exeter. I am also a member of the Terra Hunting Experiment, a project that aims to find Earth-like planets around Sun-like stars. I love sharing my passion for the cosmos with the public through outreach activities. Beyond exoplanets, I love crêpe, dancing, badminton and traveling.

My scientific goal is to answer one of the most profound questions: Are we alone in the Universe? My research mainly involves finding and studying planets beyond our Solar System using the radial velocity technique. One of the challenges is the ''stellar variabiltiy'', a term used used to describe the various phenomena that occur on the surface and interior of a star, such as spots, flares, pulsations, granulation and supergranulation. These phenomena can produce signals that can mimic or hide the planetary signals. I am particularly interested in understanding how stellar variabiltiy affects the radial velocity of the star. Currently, I am also working on modelling granulation phenomena observed in FGK stars.

Teaching & Outreach

Sharing my passion for astronomy with the general public is one of the things that I enjoy most about my work. I think that the scientific method and the discoveries of science are essential for creating a better world, and that is why I participate in activities of scientific outreach, mainly aimed at children and teenagers.
